Asure ID is failing to open, how do I fix that?

If you are getting this message: "ERROR - unable to load Settings.xml file", then please follow the steps below.

  1. Check the settings.xml file in the program data folder -> C:\ProgramData\HID Global\Asure ID\Settings.xml
  2. If the file is blank then this would cause the program to fail to open.
  3. Download the attached "Settings.xml" file and copy it to the data folder.
